A GEORGE II MAHOGANY CLOTHES PRESSIN THE MANNER OF GILES GRENDEY, CIRCA 1750176cm high, 126cm wide, 63cm deepCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old splits, chips and losses - see images. Some old repairs - see images. Handles, escutcheons and locks are old replacements. There are some marks and plugged holes visible where previous fixtures sat. Keys present and operate all locks except one of the short drawers. The escutcheon to the long drawer is lacking one of its securing pins. Some later screws securing the panels inside the doors. Some of the screws have cracked the panel. Later screws and some screws lacking to hinges. Some of the screws to the hinges appear to have poked through to the front of the doors and plugged holes are visible. All four sliding trays present. Some later small nails securing runners for the trays. Glue residue visible to the top of one rear foot where it appears to have been re-fixed in position.
