Unlike the other gold denominations of this date, the 1875 Liberty double eagle claims an adequate mintage of 295,740 pieces, but the issue becomes scarce at the MS63 grade level, and finer coins are virtually unobtainable. This impressive Select example displays sharply detailed design elements throughout and the orange-gold surfaces are lustrous and lightly marked.
