China Republic Yuan Shih-kai Dollar Year 3 (1914) MS65+

China
Republic Yuan Shih-kai Dollar Year 3 (1914) MS65+ PCGS, KM-Y329, L&M-63, Kann-645, WS-0174-8. Yuan connected (Triangle Yuan) variety, with recut stars on epaulette. A blast-white, tone-free example for the collector looking for that "as-struck" appearance, and certainly a coin that boasts the supremely Gem Mint State quality to suggest that it was carefully stowed away not long after it was first minted. Though produced from a mildly reworked die, this in no way should be considered detracting from the piece on the whole, which, if anything, demonstrates the most careful attention to detail, resulting in a specimen that is sure to demand that collectors place their best bids to acquire it for their own cabinets.
