Early 19th Century Cased Pepperbox by J Purdy London 3 1/2 inch, 54 bore, six shot, fluted cylinder barrel.  Each barrel numbered to the breech.  Rounded steel case hardened body and nipple covering with floral scroll engraved panes and "Improved Revolving Pistol" to the right and "J Purdy 314 1/2 Oxford St London" to the left panels.  Top bar percussion hammer with matching engraving.  Finely checkered grip with silvered square escutcheon.  Left side of the revolver with case hardened, steel belt hook.  Contained in a finely figured mahogany case.  Reinforced brass corners and central escutcheon to the lid.  Felt lining complete with copper and brass powder flask ... Steel pincer ball mould ... Polished wooden handle screwdriver ... Matching nipple key ... 2 x polished wooden clearing rods ... Percussion cap tin.  Case and pistol stamped with Indian export marks.  Lid interior with "J Purdy" trade label.  Most complete cased set by a desirable maker.   PAYMENT BY BANK TRANSFER ONLY
