A BRONZE FIGURE OF LAOZI 17th century The figure of Laozi seated wearing long flowing robes with chased floral borders, holding a ruyi sceptre with slender curved shaft in his left hand, aperture on the back, 17.2cm (6 3/4in) ; together with a bronze seated figure of the Arhat Bakula, typically modelled holding a mongoose in the left hand and a pearl in the raised right hand, 16.5cm (6 1/2in) high .
