cf. KM-58 (host from ensuing reign). Type V countermarks: "Radiant sun over mountains" and "Ceiba tree with 2-R" within circular punches on the obverse and reverse of a 1690-POTOSI Cob 8 Reales from Bolivia of Charles II (KM-26). An additional countermark "large, thin 8 with 8R on the middle" on the obverse. A RARITY that is not listed for this earlier dated host (KM-58 pertaining to Bolivian 8 Reales of Philip V), this example retains solid overall detail, with a pleasing gunmetal gray nature and tactile feel, as well as rather clear and strong countermarks.
