Marble relief head of bearded man, turned to the left. Probably from a mythological sarcophagus from the Middle Imperial Period. 2nd century A.D. Back and neck broken, worn at nose, forehead and in the hair.
Kopf eines Bärtigen. 2. Hälfte 2. Jh. n. Chr. H 16cm. Weißer, feinkristalliner Marmor. Fast vollplastisch, aber von einem Relief. Bärtiger, stark nach links gewandter Kopf mit schmalem Gesicht, wallendem Haar und mittellangem Bart. Wohl von einem mythologischen Sarkophag der mittleren Kaiserzeit. Nase bestoßen. Im Hals und rückwärtig gebrochen, Haar, Stirn und Nase bestoßen. Provenienz: Aus der Privatsammlung H. L., Rheinland, vor 2000.
