A cased Adams revolver by Francotte dating: Early 19th Century provenance: Europe instead of Papal States Octagonal, rifled, 12 mm cal. barrel with foresight. Five-shot cylinder. Working mechanics only in double-action. Remains of markings 'A FRANCOTTE LIEGE' and 'ADAMS PATENT'. Marked with 'ADAMS 1856 PATENT' and crown 'AF' stamps. Old reburnishing. Checkered, wooden grip. In wooden case with Francotte label, green cloth lining, complete with bullet mold, a small flask and other accessories. The case includes the reproduction of a notarial letter dated 1929 in which the owner declares that the revolver was previously owned by Giuseppe Garibaldi, who gave it to the actual owner's family. It includes also remains of an antique label with a hand-written writing: 'Revolver previously owned by Giuseppe Garibaldi / Gifted by the General'. length 114,5 cm.
